Designer Planet: How to Use a Facial Scrub

Best Face Scrub

https://www.amazon.in/gp/search/ref=as_li_qf_sp_sr_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=fashion066e-21&keywords=Best Face Scrub&index=aps&camp=3638&creative=24630&linkCode=xm2&linkId=ae1a8efbb92eb42cb5371dac19878d9e

We tend to stick to the same three basics of skin care: cleanser, moisturizer and sun protection (if we remember). Of course, many women do face masks from time to time or destroy them on their faces, but there is one very important step that many tend to avoid too often: exfoliation.

Facial scrub is usually a cream-based product that contains little exfoliating pieces that, when massaged all over the skin, help smooth the skin by physically removing dry dead skin cells. They have existed for many, many years, and although the formulas have changed a little, they are still necessary for the care of your skin. Using facial scrub can make your skin beautiful, young, soft and radiant. Unlike ordinary soap or detergent, facial scrub uses small particles, beads or chemicals to get rid of old skin cells and release new ones in a process known as peeling.

Apply it to slightly moisturized skin and massage in a circular motion on the entire face for 60 seconds. The key to achieving the best results with a face scrub is not a strong pressure on the skin, as this will cause irritation even when using scrubs with round grains. If you feel that your skin can use more peeling, it is better to use it for longer (90 seconds) than to apply additional pressure. Wash and use tonic, serum and moisturizer.

What you will need…

    gentle facial cleanser
    exfoliating scrub
    washcloth
face mask (clay-based for oily skin, cream or gel mask for dry skin)
    face moisturizer

Instructions

Clean. Remove all makeup and then wash your face, neck and ears with a good facial cleanser.
Exfoliate. Using your fingers gently rub an exfoliating facial scrub in small circular motions all over your face. Make sure you focus on areas around your nose and forehead. If certain areas of your face are oilier than others, give that section an extra scrub. Go the extra mile and do a lip scrub too! Click here for my DIY lip scrub recipe.
Steam. There are a few ways to steam your face (over the stove, using a steamer), but the safest way is to do the washcloth trick. Fill your sink with warm water and soak a washcloth in it. Ring out the towel and then press it to your face. Repeat this 2 to 3 times.
Mask. If you have oily skin, use a clay mask. For dry skin, I suggest using a hydrating cream or gel mask. Depending on the mask, leave it on for the suggested amount of time and then rinse completely. (DIY Alert: Making your own mask is very easy. An orange and yogurt mask is especially simple. Mix 1 tablespoon of plain Greek yogurt with the juice of about one fourth of an orange. Spread the mixture evenly over your face and rinse after 5 to 10 minutes.)
Hydrate. Last by not least, moisturize! Smooth a nice, thick moisturizer over your face and neck.

Designer Planet: How To Do A Facial At Home Using Natural Ingredients

Facial is one of the most effective home remedies to pamper your face. This happens to be a beauty treatment for attributing the skin of the face with an active rejuvenation. The womenfolk are generally very much conscious about their facial care and beauty and always go for facial treatments in the well-known salons or beauty parlors. Here are few home facial tips to have the refreshing facial treatment within the comfort of home. It is true that there is nothing like a refreshing facial under experienced hands. There are different types of facials available and they are mainly based on the respective skin types, such as, oily, dry, combination and sensitive skin. There are also several procedures, by means of which the facials are undertaken and the constituents or the key elements vary according to the nature of the problem faced.

Some facials are meant for regaining the natural smoothness of the skin of the face, there are also some, which help in removing the sun tan for restoring the natural complexion. Some of the facials also help in removing the blemishes and spots and the dark circle in the skin. There are also certain facial treatments that help in prevention of pimples, acnes, blackheads and aging of skin. In most cases, going for facials under professional hands happens to be an expensive affair. They not always spell good effects also. The best type of facial is the one which is done at home by means of herbal ingredients. They can be done once in a week or twice a month and leave a healthy mark on your skin. The basic facial in home works out well on oily dry and combination skin.

Here are the home facials tips will mainly deal with mere homemade face packs that suit the different kind of skin. One just needs to understand the true nature of her skin and then take the essential facial measures. Here is an outline on the basic ingredients required, the procedure and the different home facial tips. If you want to remove facial hair then the facial hair removal should be done before the facial. There are few steps for conducting an ideal facial at home. Here is a brief overview on it.

Requisites for Home Facial

Lukewarm water
Skin cleanser
Exfoliant
Cotton balls
Skin tonic
Skin mask (you may also use some of our natural recipes)
Optional 1 chamomile tea bag or ¼ cup of chamomile tea
Clean towel

Steps
Before you start
Timing. Set about 30 minutes for this activity. Select the place where you will do your facial, preferably your bathroom or bedroom. You will need to lie down for the mask and will need a chair to sit down for the other steps (you may also stand if you wish).

Organization: Make sure that you have everything that you will need in one place. This is a relaxing activity, so make sure you have everything handy and no last minute rushes.

Steamy stuff. You will steam your face to open the pores and let the impurities out. You can put about 5 cups of water to boil. You can use only plain water or add some herbs such as chamomile, lavender, calendula or other calming herbs. You can also use a couple of drops of chamomile, rose or lavender essential oil (just 2 or 3 drops; you do not want to irritate your eyes). If you have roses at home, you can put rose petals in the water.

Make the chamomile tea and put some ice cubes to make it cold. If you do not have the tea, simply use cold water. Submerge two pieces of cotton; you will use them to relax your eyes during the mask.

   The Process
Clean your skin: Make sure that there is no makeup left. Clean gently around your eyes and use circular motion.

Exfoliate: Apply your exfoliator with gentle circular movements. Rinse with water.

Steaming time: When the water is boiling, lower the temperature if you are using a steamer. Or put the water in a bowl and bring it to the place you are going to do the facial. Put a towel over you head to preserve the steam and lean face over the bowl, about a foot away. The steam has to feel nice, although at moments it may feel overpowering. If you feel a burning sensation, stop! The temperature is probably too high for you or you are too close to the bowl. Keep the steam going for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Extraction: We all have black and white heads. The steam eliminates a lot of them, but if you see any visible black heads, this is the time to get them out. You may cover your nails with cotton if they are too long. You will use only your fingers or a special extraction tool to press around and get the impurities out. Most experts do not recommend touching pimples because you may spread the infection or make it bigger and leave scars later on. Be gentle. Apply toner on your skin using cotton or a sprayer.

The mask: You may select your mask according to your skin needs: if you have an oily skin, a purifying mask will be great; if you have dry or normal skin, or in winter time, a deep moisturizing mask will be better.

Apply the mask all over our face, lie down if you like and put soft music on. Place the cotton balls on your eyes. Leave the mask on for about 10 to 15 minutes. Relax.

Take the mask off with lukewarm water and apply toner again. Proceed further by applying your regular moisturizer and eye cream. If you are going to be expose yourself to the sun, apply sun protection.

Have a calming drink such as a warm decaffeinated tea or just plain water.

Frequency: Depending on you skin type you may do a facial every week or every other week.

Daily shampooing is not recommended, ethnic hair is dryer than other types of hair, shampooing strips away the oils from your hair so try shampooing once every 3 to 7 days instead.

If you engage in daily activities that cause you to sweat, it is recommended that you rinse your hair out with water and only use shampoo on occasion, but if you feel the need to use a mild shampoo, go ahead and do so.

Use a mild moisturizing shampoo with a low PH level when washing your hair.

Don't use a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, use a separate shampoo and conditioner, 2 in 1's aren't suited as well for dry hair.

When washing your hair rub only in one direction to avoid tangling.

Shower with warm water, hot water can dry and/or irritate the scalp.

Oil your scalp after shampooing, with your hair still moist, massage the oil into your scalp and brush out to the ends of your hair.

Use a conditioner when you shower, it'll moisturize your hair, give it extra protection, add shine, reduce static, and makes it easier to untangle.
